Work

Vinur (e. Friend)
Bachelor project in Graphic Design from Iceland University of the Arts
Reykjavík Art Museum, 2025

Vinur is an app that supports mental well-being through breathing exercises and meditation. The uniqueness of the app lies in its visual presentation, where motion graphics and graphic design create a calming and accessible experience for users. The goal of the project is to combine aesthetics and functionality, making meditation and relaxation more accessible in daily life. In developing the app, I have drawn inspiration from Icelandic nature in terms of illustrations, motion, and color palette. Design is used to positively impact well-being and foster a deeper connection with oneself through a visual and digital experience, utilizing a digital interface.

Farvegir & form
Bachelor thesis, collaborative book project & website design
Iceland University of the Arts, 2025

Farvegir & form is a book project related to the research topic of my BA thesis. My work explored Nike’s evolution in design and marketing from the 1970’s until the turn of the century.

Barquinona – Port of Barcelona, Port Center
Identity/Branding project for Port of Barcelona’s Port Center
Elisava Barcelona, 2024

The Port of Barcelona is the ambitious rehabilitation project of the Portal de la Pau building, which is proposed as a communication, informative, educational and entertainment tool to promote knowledge of the port and its integration with the city.

Aljöfnun
Editorial design project at Iceland University of the Arts, 2022

This small book is an exploration of justified text and the nuances of typographic alignment. Designed and produced at the Iceland University of the Arts, the project reflects my approach to editorial design — balancing structure, rhythm, and readability within a strict grid. The text, written by Elín Edda Þorsteinsdóttir, is complemented by my layout and book cover design, highlighting the tension and harmony that justified typesetting can create.

Proposal for a rebrand of the Icelandic
Basketball Association (KKÍ)

Logo Design Project

A proposal for a new logo and design for KKÍ, the Icelandic Basketball Association. During my design process, I experimented with the shape of a basketball and what I tought to be one of the main characteristics of Iceland, a mountain and a glacier. I designed a new team uniform for Iceland with the final outcome of the logo on. The mountain which is a part of the logo is also visible on the uniform itself.

Life in Aida
I visited Aida Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp near Bethlehem, where I photographed everyday life on film. The images show daily moments in the camp — children playing in narrow streets, families spending time together, and the routines that shape the community. The photographs reflect both the challenges of living in Aida and the resilience of the people who call it home.

Frutiger
A project where I was assigned to work with a specific font, which in my case was Frutiger. I enjoyed experimenting with the typeface which is designed for airports, a place I know well at my job as a flight attendant. A3 flyer which is cut in the middle and folded into a A6 page flip book and page while the other is a poster showing the punctuation marks in the typeface.

Atrakzia
A water park that was once a popular summer gathering place, photographed using film. Today, it stands as a quiet abandonedspace, its empty pools and faded structures carrying traces of the life and activity that once filled it. The photographs capture this contrast between past vibrancy and present stillness.

Wind me up
Interactive Coding and Website Design
Elisava Barcelona, 2023

A website called “Wind me up” which is a music playlist provider. It’s an experience that ties the intensity of the wind to the energy of music. The website offers specially curated playlists that resonate with the current wind conditions in a visitors area. The stronger the wind, the more vibrant and upbeat the playlist. The project involved a live background coding and a location based weather API.
